Believe it or not, neither have ANYTHING to do with any type of ”graphics”
Time to educate:
In the field of marketing, psychographic variables are any attributes relating to personality, values, attitudes, interests, or lifestyles. They are also called IAO variables (for Interests, Activities, and Opinions). Demographic data are the characteristics of a human population such as age, race, gender, income and so on. So, which is more important to research in a market analysis??? BOTH are essential to consider. If you’re going to go to the trouble of spending money to advertise your product or service, you need to put yourself in your audience’s shoes. OK, put those shoes on. Now, who are you? Man, woman, 50, 20, with kids, no kids, college grad? Those are your demographic qualities. Do you play tennis, ride horses, eat pizza? Do you worship buddah, love poetry, show dogs, or enjoy making penguin pyramids? Those are your psychographic qualities. Tangible versus intangible. Demo is solid, meaningful and controlled. Psycho is the scariest movie I’ve EVER seen! Oh sorry. Psycho is actually more personality, likes and dislikes based. Class dismissed.
Ah, a small county Fair. The sounds of childr
en laughing; the smells of greasy corn dogs, cheesy fries and funnel cake; a foul breeze coming from the farm animal tent; the marvelous twang of live country music swirling around. 20 little piggies, 12 milking cows, 8 shaven sheeps and a partridge in a pear tree. Took a literal ‘spin’ on the ferris wheel (actually, appoximately 15 spins) with my 9 year old niece. The view was fabulous. Charlottesville certainly offers a beauty and grace that became very obvious from that height. My niece asked “what if we fall and die?” I’m certainly an inquisitive person overall, but that’s just not something worth worrying about when you’re already nearly 100 feet off the ground. After we got our feet back on terra firma, I was suddenly surrounded by little screaming and running kids – all jacked up on snow cones and cotton candy, I suspect. I gave thanks that none of those children were going home with me. A fun fair to remember. Can’t wait for the Virginia State Fair.
Why is it that dogs never fail to make me smile? What is it about this animal that makes me so happy? Unconditional love, that’s what. Those of you who know me know that I adore my dog Ella (visit http://doggydrama.wordpress.com
to read about her canine antics). She’s the best friend (next to my husband) that I’ve ever had. 1. She’s always happy to see me 2. She never gets mad at me 3. She’s always there when I need her 4. When I drop things on the floor, she cleans them right up AND 5. She NEVER gives me any lip (which could be because she doesn’t have lips). Don’t get me wrong, my cat is great too. Thank God for the family pet in general. You think that dogs and cats need humans to take care of them – and that is true to an extent, but I think we need their affection and fun-loving spirits too.
Adobe Photoshop is one of the greatest graphic design tools ever created. IF you have ‘the knack’ and ‘the know-how’. It IS a magnificent program, but it’s NOT magic. If there is a person in your photo and you want them out, well, that depends. Is the person standing in front of a house or a tree? If you take the person out, you will have a big empty space where the person once was. If the person is in front of a house, you literally have to ‘build the house’ into that space. As a photographer, I try to look very carefully at the subject you are going to photograph BEFORE you take the picture. If there’s something in it that you don’t want in it, it’s better to move [ it before you take the photo than to just say to yourself 'oh... i'll just photoshop it out later". Don't try to use Photoshop to perform "magic"... use it as an enhancing tool. For instance, look at these two photos. They are the exact same photo, but i've very obviously Photoshopped the second one:

I may be loco, but when I make my guacamole, I don’t measure or follow instructions… I don’t even follow reason. Avocados, garlic cloves, Spanish onion, fresh cilantro, lemon juice, a little salsa and BAM, the best guac EVAH! I just start chopping and tossing into the bowl. That kind of free thinking makes your food more creative. My Dad will put peanut butter in an omelet – THAT’S NOT WHAT I MEAN. You must at least think… but think freely and have fun with it.
